مقدمه: چاقی و اضافه وزن به طور وسیعی در سراسر جهان حال گسترش است و طیف وسیعی از بیماری ها از جمله اختلات هموستاز گلوکز را موجب می گردد. قهوه سبز و ورزش به عنوان گزینه های مناسب برای کنترل این شرایط پیشنهاد شده اند.

هدف: هدف بررسی اثر مصرف همزمان قهوه سبز و تمرینات ترکیبی بر ترکیب بدن و هموستاز گلوگز زنان دارای اضافه وزن و چاق بود.

روش بررسی: 26 زن دارای اضافه وزن و چاق به طور تصادفی به سه گروه قهوه سبز (9 نفر)، تمرین ترکیبی (10نفر) و قهوه سبز- تمرین ترکیبی (7نفر) تقسیم شدند. پودر قهوه سبز روزانه در دو وعده 125 میلی گرمی قبل از نهار و شام مصرف شد. تمرینات ترکیبی شامل شش هفته، چهار جلسه در هفته تمرینات استقامتی-قدرتی پیشرونده بود. میزان انسولین و قند خون ناشتا، شاخص مقاومت به انسولین HOMA)) و متغیر های ترکیب بدن قبل و دو ماه پس از مداخله اندازه گیری شد.

نتایج: مقادیر وزن، شاخص توده بدن (BMI)، دور کمر، دور لگن، نسبت دور کمر به دور لگن (WHR)، درصد چربی و سطح انسولین و HOMA در هر سه گروه کاهش معنی داری داشت که کاهش به جز دور کمر، WHR، انسولین و HOMA، در سایر متغیرها در گروه قهوه سبز- تمرین ترکیبی بالاتر از سه گروه دیگر بود (05/0p<). تغییرات قند خون در هیچ یک از گروه ها معنی داری نبود (05/0p>).

نتیجه گیری کلی: نتایج نشان داد که احتمالا مصرف قهوه سبز به همراه تمرین همزمان بر بهبود ترکیب بدن، اثرات هم افزایی دارند.
