fa مروری بر کاربرد گیاه زردچوبه (<i>Curcuma longa</i> L.) در طب سنتی و مدرن گياهان دارویی Medicinal Plants مروری Review <div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>مقدمه:</strong> زردچوبه در کشورهای آسیایی از گذشته‌های دور کاربرد غذایی و دارویی دارد. در طب سنتی این کشورها، زردچوبه در اختلالات گوارشی و کبدی، دفع سنگ کلیه، درد مفاصل و اختلالات قاعدگی مصرف می‌شود. با توجه به کاربرد غذایی و دارویی و همچنین خواص فارماکولوژی ریزوم گیاه زردچوبه نیاز به بررسی اثرات فارماکولوژی ریزوم این گیاه جهت بهره‌برداری از آن در انجام تحقیقات بالینی احساس می‌شود.<strong> هدف: </strong>در این مقاله، هدف ارائه یک مقاله مروری از بررسی‌های انجام شده در زمینه اثرات فارماکولوژی ریزوم گیاه زردچوبه و ماده موثره آن کورکامین بود. <strong>روش بررسی:</strong> با استفاده از پایگاه اطلاعاتی اینترنتی نظیر MEDLINE، مقالاتی که در مورد اثرات فارماکولوژی زردچوبه در محدوده سال‌های 1980 الی 2009 میلادی ارایه شده بود، بررسی شد. <strong>نتایج:</strong> تحقیقات گسترده‌ای در سه دهه اخیر روی ریزوم گیاه زردچوبه انجام شده است. نتایج حاکی از آن است که ماده موثره و دیگر ترکیبات موجود در ریزوم این گیاه دارای اثرات فارماکولوژیک متعدد از جمله ضدرادیکال آزاد، ضدالتهاب، ضدسرطان و کاهنده چربی و قند خون بالا و اثر بر سیستم ایمنی در تحقیقات آزمایشگاهی و بعضاً بالینی است. <strong>نتیجه‌گیری:</strong> اثرات فارماکولوژیک مشاهده شده توسط ریزوم گیاه زردچوبه بیانگر ارتباط نزدیک این اثرات با اختلالات متابولیسمی بیماری‌هایی مانند سرطان، اختلالات کبدی و گوارشی، قلب و عروق، آلزایمر، آرتریت روماتوئید و دیابت است. با توجه به آنکه زردچوبه در طب سنتی در بیماری‌های متعدد تجویز می‌شود، به نظر می‌رسد که انجام تحقیقات بالینی روی این ماده در درمان بیماری‌های ذکرشده لازم است.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Background:</strong> Turmeric has a long history for food additive and medicinal uses. In Asian traditional medical systems turmeric has been expected to be a therapeutic or preventive agent for several human diseases including: gastrointestinal symptoms, liver disease, kidney stone, rheumatic and menstrual disorders. Due to its current uses as well as its pharmacological effects further information needs for future clinical studies. <strong>Objective:</strong> The aim of this review was to provide an update overview of research studies focused on the pharmacological effects of turmeric and its active component curcumin. <strong>Methods:</strong> A computerized search of published articles was performed using the electronic database such as MEDLINE from 1980 to 2009. <strong>Results:</strong> The large numbers of articles published on pharmacological effects of turmeric over recent three decade. Turmeric and its active component curcumin exert several pharmacological effects including anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic and immunomudulator as observed in experimental and some clinical studies. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The present scientific-based evidence provide good information about pharmacological effects of turmeric.
